British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook has wrapped up his trip to the Middle East calling in Beirut for withdrawal of Israeli forces from Southern Lebanon. The trip was aimed at pushing European Union efforts to revive the stalled Middle East peace process. Mr. Cook said an Israeli pull-out from southern Lebanon should be part of a broader Arab-Israeli settlement. He met earlier in Damascus with Syrian President Hafez al-Assad and was in Israel on Tuesday.
