At least 13 Iraqi police recruits have been killed in a suicide car bomb attack in the northern city of Irbil. More than 100 other people were injured. John Line reports from Baghdad.
   The attack happened as a large group of traffic police recruits were gathering for morning roll call in the city of Irbil. The suicide bomber raced his car from a nearby building site. Security forces desperately opened fire. Others ran for cover. But nobody could stop the car from exploding in the middle of the crowd.
   Police and police recruits have been one of the most common targets for the insurgents. Only yesterday a suicide bomber attacked a Baghdad restaurant popular with the police killing at least 20.
   Irbil is usually more peaceful. It is in the Kurdish area of Northern Iraq, which has escaped the worst of the violence. But in the week since the formation of a new Iraqi government the attacks have been quite relentless.
