问题     Failure is a common thing in our daily life. People have different attitudes toward it. When failure comes, some people become so upset, but some show no fear or worry in face of failure. What is your opinion about it?

     Failure is a lack of success in achieving or doing something. It is a usual thing in our life. It may exist in everything we do and wherever we are. People have different attitudes toward failure. When failure comes, Some people become so upset that they give up any try in despair. But some show no fear or worry in face of failure. Instead, they make up their minds to achieve
their goals, without caring about how many failures they have experienced in their attempt to reach their destination. I am in favor of the latter attitude toward failure.
      As the familiar proverb goes, failure is the mother of success. All great people owe their success to their constant efforts. And unexceptionally all have experienced certain failures before they made any accomplishments. Thomas Edison, a great American inventor, is an excellent example. Most of his inventions were the results of hundreds of experiments. Once, when he had made 8,000 tests without success, an assistant asked him if he was discouraged. He replied "Why should feel discouraged? We’ve made great progress. At least we now know 8,000 things that do not work." He experienced numberless failures all his life ever since he finished his three months of schooling up to his old age. It is true that the way to success is full of various difficulties and obstacles. But failure really teaches success.
     In brief, failure is the only highroad to success. As college students, we may encounter various failure in future, but we should not be frightened or discouraged. And only successes achieved after many failures arc really valuable and unforgettable.
