    Since the "great-leap" of college education in 1999, a bachelor degree is not able to secure a job as easily as it did 20 years ago. In this context, many people question the necessity of university education, saying that the input is falling short of the output. Despite this, I think university education is very important.
    First of all, college education makes us specialized in a certain field. Upon high-school graduation, we know something of everything. But in university, we are supposed to know everything of something. For instance, I had to learn about chemistry, physics, biology, history, geography, English,
    Chinese and math in senior high school. In university, I majored in English. Therefore, I was turned into a "specialist" of English after college education. Instead of wasting time and energy in every possible filed, I could devote my heart and soul to one major and excel in it. Secondly, university education makes us a well-rounded person. Through presentations, interest groups, research groups and other activities, we not only gain valuable knowledge, but also sharpen our skills, such as communication skills, researching skills and teamwork spirit. All these will benefit us for the entire life.
    In conclusion, university education is very important in that it improves us into "experts" with multiple capabilities.
