答案     Creating a Low-carbon Society
    With the threats of climate change and ozone depletion, people are more attentive to their lifestyle and some of them advocate a lowcarbon society. I salute these endeavors and believe that the noble enterprise of creating a low-carbon society should involve every one of us.
    First of all, low-carbon society could be created by fewer car uses. It is known to all that automobile is the major cause of air pollution and the major source of green-house gas emission. We could reduce our carbon footprints by using more public transportation means, such as subway and bus. Better still, we could ride a bike to go to work, if the distance between our home and working place is within a 30-minute bike-ride. This is beneficial to our environment and our health. Secondly, recycling our garbage is also a way to create a low-carbon society. As we know, when manufacturing commodities, factories have to consume fuels and raw materials, which lead to a huge amount of carbon emission. If we develop a habit of recycling the garbage, we could turn trash into treasure. This will ultimately reduce the use of energy and increase the carbon efficiency.
    In conclusion, in order to create a low-carbon society, everyone should be engaged in the initiatives of using more public transportation and recycling garbage.
