   Since Beijing announced its bid for 2022 Winter Olympics, a recent upsurge of winter sports has begun in China.
   According to the statistics offered by Beijing Hockey Association, there were only 1000 registered players and 70 teams in 2013-2014 season. But this year, the number has increased significantly to 2,554 and 162. Not only is the Ice Hockey populated among Chinese teenagers, but the skiing is booming too. From 2013 to 2016, the number of skiers has increased more than 60 percent. In response to the increasing number of skiers, many more ski resorts are established. In 2016, China had nearly 650 ski resorts, which spread across 13 provinces and autonomous regions of China.
   The General Administration of Sport of China and Ministry of Education claimed that China plans to build 650 skating rinks, 800 ski resorts and 2 ,000 schools specializing in winter sports in 2022.
