问题    This book is intended to provide the students of physical science with help in mastering elementary physics, chemistry, earth science and astronomy (天文学). A wide spectrum (范围) of topics is covered, so that the reader may select those which correspond to his particular interest or needs.
   Each chapter begins with an outline of its subject. The discussed problems that follow are of two kinds: those that are connected with past development of physics and chemistry, and those that concern important facts and ideas in physical science.
