Brown: Kendall. Brown Kendall of Star Company. It’ s an order for 100 revolving chairs that we’ ve been waiting over a month for, even though we were promised immediate delivery.
Daniel: Well, Mr. Kendall, I’ m afraid the Manager in charge of orders is out at the moment. But perhaps I can help you. Now, would you please just tell me again what the order was for?
Brown: 100 revolving chairs. We’ ve got people here waiting for their chairs...
Daniel: Hmm, that does sound bad, Mr. Kendall. I am sorry if you’ ve been inconvenient. I will see what I can do about it. Have you got the order number handy?
Brown: Yes, it’s 87920.
Daniel: Thanks. Now, just let me check our record... I don’t see anything about it in our file. How about if I ask our dispatcher (调度员), Mr. Moore to call you right back, after I spoke to him? Brown: Er... all right.
