    In response to your advertisement in yesterday’s Time Educational Supplement, I would like to apply for the job of teaching English. I enclose a copy of my resume, a letter of recommendation from my current employer and copies of relevant certificates.
    As you will see from my resume, I have been teaching English to groups of adults of mixed nationality for the past two years. I have taught students at all levels and I am experienced in preparing students for external exams. Though I have no experience of teaching children, I am sure that I would be able to adapt my understanding of teaching adults appropriately for children and quickly develop the relevant skills. I have always been able to learn new skills quite easily and I enjoy the challenge that each new experience represents. I feel certain that I could use my skills in ways that could benefit your organization. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require my further information.
