    The graph presents a striking problem to us. That’s, the number of university students who suffer psychological illness is increasing rapidly since 1995. Especially from 2000, the number is skyrocketing.
    Several important factors contribute to the worrying problem. In the first place, in creasing pressure from study put a heavy load on the students. Students have to cope with different courses and numerous tests and examinations throughout the year. Moreover, pressure of competition from classmates for different scholarships, prizes, and awards put an extra load on the students. Thirdly, relationship with classmates, roommates, and other students weave a complex net which traps the students who are not capable of inter personal communication. Fourthly, other issues such as financial problems also induce heavy load on the shoulder of the students. All these factors overloaded the students and make them easy to suffer psychological breakdowns.
    Enough attention should be paid to this problem from both the authority of the university and the students. The university should take measures to reduce the burdens of various kinds. The students should be cautious of psychological problems.
