    (1) Only a few decades ago, the idea of working at home would have sounded quite strange to us. (1) With social development, however, working at home has become popular nowadays. Some even say that we have entered a new era of working at home.
    (2) Like all newly emergent phenomenon, working at home has brought controversy concerning its advantages and disadvantages. (3) Some argue that thanks to the advanced communications, which make working at home possible, human beings are provided with an alternative of working. This alternative enables them to work at ease, arrange their schedules flexibly, and be freed from wasting time in commuting. (4) However, there are also people who hold that working at home (5) deprives a person of chance to communicate with others through work, (5) isolates him from the outside world, and (5) discourages the spirit of teamwork.
    (6) In my opinion, whether working at home is a good choice or not depends. Everyone has his own personality and working style. If a person enjoys working alone and performs his tasks best working at home, he should not be denied such a choice.
