    Many undergraduates in China are now keen on working for dual degrees. For example, English majors may also major in Economics, and some students can work for majors in both politics and law.
    There are several factors contributing to this "dual degree fever". First, the workforce market, being increasingly competitive, requires people of multiple skills, and those who have two majors are at an advantage when they graduate. Second, many universities, with their improved teaching facilities and methods, are now able to provide their students with dual-degree programmes. Finally, some excellent students just find it too simple to work for just one major, and they embrace such dual-degree programmes enthusiastically.
    However, with the good points of dual-degree programmes, it must be remembered that not all universities and all undergraduates are suitable for them. If the university lacks the necessary facilities, and if the student has difficulty in even one major, it is not wise to carry out the double major programme.
