答案 Nowadays, more and more emphasis is being put on individualism. So uniqueness and personal development are greatly encouraged by the young.
Under such circumstances, it is a difficult decision to make on whether we should still treasure the traditional Chinese virtues, such as modesty and diligence that arc regarded as the most outstanding qualities. Some believe that the traditional Chinese virtues will discourage the personal development of the young. Others, on the contrary, argue that traditional virtues, which are accumulated through the long history of China, should be inherited and cherished to get a better development.
As a college student, I totally agree with the latter argument. Although individualism is being emphasized, the traditional Chinese virtues should not be cast aside. They are still helpful in developing our personality.
