    There is an old saying that self knowledge is the beginning of self improvement. These simple words actually worth pondering.
    When we were young, we were taught general knowledge for us to learn from and that was supposed to provide us with the foundations towards contributing to society. This carefully chosen knowledge is mostly made up of facts and figures which really have no real benefit towards our own personal growth. We seem to overlook the significance of knowing ourselves regarding with future self improvement. Only if we could identify our own strengths and weakness, can we have the chance to begin the process of improving ourselves in a pro-active and effective way. Self knowledge gives us the capacity to learn from our mistakes as well as successes. It enables us to keep growing.
    Obviously, if we want to improve our mind, spirit and life for the better, it is essential to start with knowing ourselves.
