    With the rapid advancement of modern technology and the continuous development of globalization, some people fear that we are gradually losing our cultural diversity and will be more and more alike. It is a problem we should pay particular attention to, because, as the proverb goes, "It takes all sorts to make a world."
    Why does cultural diversity matter? First of all, cultural diversity is not only a driving force of economic development, but also a means of leading a more fulfilling intellectual, emotional and spiritual life. Secondly, equitable exchange and dialogue among different civilizations, cultures and peoples, based on mutual understanding and respect, is the essential prerequisite for constructing social cohesion and harmony among nations. Last but not least, cultural diversity is the cornerstone of human civilization which identifies one culture from another and preserves the history, traditions and values of all civilizations.
    Therefore, we should strive to preserve our cultural diversity, especially in a world of economic integration and globalization. Only with cultural diversity can we realize long-term development, peace and harmony.
