答案     Everybody pursues friendship and cherishes it very much. There are many things we can do to maintain the friendship, with admonishing our friends in private and praising them in public being the two.
    To admonish our friends in private means that we should respect our friends and maintain their self-esteem. Everybody makes mistakes, but if your friends’ mistakes are denounced by you with many people around, they will feel harmed and humiliated by you, and consequently, your friendship will be affected and what’s worse, it will possibly die out. To praise our friends in public means that we should praise our friends’ good deeds, achievements, merits and anything good about our friends when people are around. Everybody likes being praised in public:, especially by the people they care. By praising your friends in public, they will feel happy to see that you cherish them very much and your friendship is well valued.
    In short, if we hope that the friendship lasts for ever, we should admonish our friends in private and praise them in public.
