    It is widely acknowledged that the Internet has become the most important and necessary tool in people’s daily life. Besides, it brings us so many ways of entertainment that people become more and more interested in it.
    However, despite its convenience, a great number of young people begin to spend too much time on the Internet and tend to be addicted to the virtual world. Some people prefer to stay in front of the computer all day long, and spend little time with their family and friends. Others tend to keep downloading movies or playing online games. For one thing, they have forgotten their main duty on study or work; for another, the negative influence of the Internet is resulting in more crimes, greatly affecting social orders.
    As the salt of the earth, college students should be fully aware of the importance of sensible attitudes towards the Internet. Therefore, we should discipline ourselves and make proper use of the Internet. In addition, we should appeal to the public to notice the negative impact of addiction to the virtual world.
