    With the improvement of living standards and the change of individuals’ consumption attitudes, parents spend more and more money on their children. Thus child’s slave is coined, which refers to young parents who have to spend a large part of their income on children. Nowadays, some young parents fall under the so-called child-slave category.
    The reasons behind child’s slave vary. Financial burden is the first to blame. Prices are skyrocketing these days, resulting in the ridiculous upsurge of cost in raising a child. However, economic pressure is not the only reason responsible for this phenomenon. Blind comparison is the main cause for that. Young parents try with all their might to provide the best possible living and learning conditions for fear that their children will lose at the starting line, which fits in exactly with retailers’ wishes.
    If continuing, child’s slave may give rise to a host of problems. On the one hand, parents will suffer from great strain under the burden of raising a child. On the other hand, doting parents can spoil their children’s life. Therefore, parents should put the mentality in a correct place and accompany the children’s growth following the principle of moderation and rationality.
