    As C. P. Snow says, technology is a double-edged sword, providing convenience as well as bringing threat, and for online games, they are no exception.
    In the first place, it is believed that online games provide people with a good method for entertainment. As we all know, by reproducing all circles of real life, online games actually provide a virtual space for people to experience each of them. We can play different roles in the virtual world. Besides, playing online games can help people cultivate some desirable qualities, such as teamwork spirit and perseverance. In the second place, online games are detrimental in many aspects. Playing online games can distract people from their work and study. Furthermore, too much indulgence can lead to the deterioration of one’s physical health. Some people even hold the view that online games should take the blame for the increasing teenagers’ misbehavior.
    All the above opinions make sense. From my point of view, online games are neither good nor evil. As an old proverb goes, "Fire is a good servant but a bad master. " Online games are good servants; but how to use them depends on us. the masters.
