A good case in point is Thomas Edison’s success. Without persistence, how could he, the greatest inventor throughout the history of mankind who experienced numerous failed attempts, invent the first electric lamp? Another case is our National Father, Mr. Sun Yat-Sen. He devoted himself to the national revolution for about 40 years. In the process, he met with many failures, but he was anything but discouraged. Finally, the revolution led by him overthrew the autocratic monarchy that had ruled China for several thousand years in 1911.
