    Increase in crime has many fundamental causes. The most obvious one may be poverty. We all know that crime is frequently connected to poverty. Those who are lack of education or skills usually live at the bottom of the society. They can hardly make a living, so at last they may become desperate and resort to crime to solve their problems. Moreover, tile radical change of the society in the information age, although has promoted the economy greatly, at the same time made some people lost in the spiritual world. They become more confused, doubtful and critical than before. Their old value systems and moral standards are challenged or even destroyed. Such a change may affect their behaviors and one of the extreme results may be crime.
    Complicated factors have led to the increase in crime, but it is possible to take some measures to prevent this trend. Governments can certainly make great efforts to improve the living conditions of the poor and previde everyone with the opportunities of education to ensure they have a better future. In addition, with the rapid development of economy, people should divert more attention to their spiritual world, forming positive values and doing the moral acts. In a wont, countries of the world should pull together to combat the problem of crime increase and establish a harmonious social environment for people.
