    If asked whether the Internet is the greatest discovery of the 20th century，my answer would be yes．The Internet has drawn the world closer together，realized countless incredible dreams，and provided modern people with a great many conveniences and a brilliant life．The Internet has become a part of people’s life．Many people simply feel they cannot live without the Internet。
    Nowadays，the Internet plays an important role in our life．We use computer for working，chatting， playing games，watching the movie，and searching anything by clicking on Internet．But its many negative effects are already visible．For example，Internet addicts tend to withdraw to their own fantasy world rather than communicate with a real person．Children are exposed to online pornography and violence，and moreover， they can be crazy about playing computer games if they can’t control themselves．
    There is no doubt that the Internet has enriched our life，expanded our vision，and transformed the world into a global village．But on the other hand，its drawbacks shouldn’t be neglected．We should use the Internet with wisdom and keep it at a safe distance and never lose ourselves．
