问题     纸是中国最著名的发明之一。安徽生产的“宣纸"是特别为书画和书法制造的纸张。且被认为是“纸中之王”。墨宝是“文房四宝(four treasures of the study)”中最为重要的，因为它的固体质料墨石能从古代留传至今。最初只有用杵(pestle)磨颜料(pigment)的简单墨板(ink-slab)。汉朝出现了人工的墨棒(ink-stick)后，杵便渐渐消失了。在汉代也有陶器墨板，漆(lacquer)墨板，铜墨板，以及石墨板。

答案     Paper is one of the most famous Chinese inventions of all time. Xuan paper, produced in Anhui, has become the paper most suitable for painting and calligraphy, and is regarded as "the king of papers". The ink stone can be regarded as the most important one of the "four treasures of the study". Because of its solid texture, an ink stone could be handed down from ancient times. In the beginning only simple stone ink-slabs that needed a pestle to grind pigments was used. After artificial ink-sticks appeared in Han, usage of the pestle gradually disappeared. Pottery, lacquer and copper ink-slabs came into use during the Han Dynasty while stone ink-slabs retained their popularity.
