    It is depicted in the cartoon given above that an aged people falls over while many people are watching and wondering whether to help or not. It seems we are all involved in the heated discussion about whether to give a hand to the aged.
    The picture vividly mirrors something definitely wrong with traditional virtue. We can see serious crisis of trust between people. Sincerity and trust are replaced by dishonesty and hypocrisy. Caution and alertness are deeply rooted in people’s hearts. Why don’t people help the old people falling down? Firstly, some of them lack medical knowledge, they don’t know how to help them. Secondly, some are so indifferent that they think it’s not related to them. Thirdly, most of them are afraid of getting themselves into trouble, because there are some cases that good persons are hurt by the old people they helped. Respecting, helping and taking good care of the old is a traditional Chinese virtue. In my opinion, whatever case we meet, we should give a warm hand to those old people who need help.
