    As the ancient Chinese proverb goes, "Happiness lies in contentment." It means that if a person is easy to be contented, he will always be happy.
    As to the proverb, there are two contrasting standpoints. On the one hand, some people support the statement, and they hold that the biggest treasure in life is happiness. In their views, contentment is an indispensable key to cheerfulness and felicity, while excessive material property is of little use. They firmly believe in the saying "A contented mind is a perpetual feast. " On the other hand, some people consider that contentment manifests idleness and loss of ambition, and people who are easy to be contented usually don’t have the courage to face the reality. Discontent is the first step to progress.
    In my view, people should never give up the enterprising spirit to strive for their dreams as discontent promotes the development of society.
