    As is described in the picture, one of the cats thinks it is unnecessary to take all the trouble to catch mice when they have fish served on the dining-table. This reminds me of a controversial question prevailing among young people—do we have to inherit traditions in modern life?
    My answer is Yes. One reason is that lots of traditions like Chinese Kongfu, Peking opera, and Confucius ideas are all the essence of human history. The other reason is that traditions may be the final things that make one culture distinct from the others especially when globalization is taking place rapidly.
    Therefore. traditions should never be discarded. Although modern science and technology can almost satisfy all our material needs and desires, traditions still offer us spiritual nutrition.
