    In recent years, the only child has become the king or queen of some families, doing whatever he or she wants. In my view, such upbringing can only destroy rather than educate a child.
    Firstly, spoiled children are in great lack of capability for independent living. Some of them are even not able to dress, wash face or eat by themselves at school age. Secondly, spoiled children tend to be more selfish. They don’t like to share with others and lack team spirit and sense of responsibility. Thirdly, spoiled children tend to care too much about material comforts, lacking the consciousness of thrift.
    In conclusion, today’s children are the hope of their families and the future of our nation, and we are duty-bound to love them. However, this kind of love should be moderate. Parents’ final purpose is to make their children grow into healthy and responsible citizens. Thus it is inadvisable to dote on them.
