    With the finish of the College Entrance Exam, many high school seniors are faced with a serious choice—which major they should choose for college. Some may choose a major that promises a better job, while others may opt for one they are interested in. As far as I am concerned, I would choose the latter.
    School performance is a significant factor in finding jobs. Studies have shown that students are likely to excel at majors that they are interested in. If they have excellent performance, there will be a better chance of finding a good job after graduation in the extremely competitive job market. On the contrary, even if they choose a major that promises a better job, they may not find a decent job at all if they do poorly in the major they don’t like.
    To sum up, it is ideal that the major in which one is interested can also promise a good job. However, as the saying goes, you can’t sell the cow and drink the milk. One should follow his interest and pursue his dream when it comes to the crossroads of choosing a major.
