答案 　　During my college years, I helped a poor family in my hometown. I’d like to talk about it. I can’t recall the exact name of the father but I remember he had a family of 5 members. He was a technician who had run a small shop. After a devastating cyclone, his small shop was demolished What’s worse, he had no money to rebuild it. One day I ran into him, begging for food near our campus. He was trying to console his small kids who were also asking people for money and food. I talked to him. He explained this to me in a trembling voice. He also told me that he had assured his wife that he would feed the kids and bring food home.
　　I asked them to stay there for a while, and in the meantime, I ran to the nearby supermarket to get them some snacks and fruits. Later, I told three of my closest friends this situation and then we decided to go to our class teacher. She suggested that we wrote an application regarding the suffering of the family and gave us permission to raise some money in the campus. Luckily, days later, we’d raised enough money to buy food and clothes for the poor family and help the father to start his business again.
　　Honestly, I was immensely gratified by helping this family. It’s the first time that I’ve actually helped a stranger. I then came to realise how cheerful it is to help someone. Later I learned that the man was able to support his family. It’s encouraging. In fact, the joy of being able to help someone in need is something that we can only feel and words can’t actually describe.
