Rice plants, also known as paddy plants, are a very common kind of plant that grows in our country and that you can reap rice from. You can see them in most places in rural areas. In paddy season, if you go to the countryside, you might even find them dancing in the wind everywhere. The environment, soil, water and fields in our country are favourable for growing them, so we can produce a large quantity of rice each year. Rice is our staple food and our economy also heavily depends on rice production.
A rice plant is a medium-sized plant that has thin stem and green leaves. Usually, the rice seed is green in its early stage and turns yellow when it’s ripe. This plant grows well in fertile land and requires a huge supply of water and sunlight, so it’s best cultivated in the countryside. Because I live in a city now, I don’t see these plants any more. However, in my childhood, I found them in every field in my village. Mile after mile, farmers grew rice plants and wished to have a good harvest. They’re beautiful and if you listen to them closely, you can hear them create harmonies with the wind. That’s something that could inspire your imagination.
Apart from being beautiful, the plants also provide us with many advantages, the most important of which is the production of rice. Rice has good taste and food value. In addition, every part of this plant has its use. For example, the rice can be used to brew beer and refine sugar while its straw is given to animals as fodder. In our country, this is probably the most important plant we grow.
