Nowadays, the young generations prefer a smaller size family, which consists of only the couple and their kids. We call it the nuclear family. This reduction in family size is affected by economic development, urbanization and change in lifestyle. As people getting more open-minded on life choices, some people would go even radical on family issues. That’s why there’re more and more DINK families, and some people have no plan to start their own family for life. More people would rather have a cat or a dog as their life companion than getting married.
