M: Hi, Ivy. I feel like this is the end of the world.
W: Because of the rainy weather?
M: No, I actually like rainy days.
W: So what is the problem then?
M: It’s the class I have.
W: What’s wrong?
M: Tomorrow I am supposed to finish an assignment for my theater acting class by giving a performance with another student.
W: I don’t see anything wrong here.
M: Well, my partner just dropped this class. And I can’t do the acting without him. I don’t know what I should do about this performance.
W: Oh, I am really sorry to hear about that. Do you have any back-up plans?
M: I can find a new scene that only has one role and prepare a speech or monolog.
W: That is smart. But I guess, you will have to memorize new lines, which will take a lot of time.
