To support research and scholarship, the University has a library of two million books. A high-speed campus network connects thousands of inter-working computers and servers used by staff and students with each other and with the Internet.

Leeds is close to the geographical centre of Britain. It has good motorway and railway connections with the rest of the country, making it an ideal centre from which to visit other parts. It is 200 miles north of London and 200 miles south of Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh.
