Unites Nations Chief Kofi Annan says about a billion dollars in emergency aids needs to be spent right now to help victims of South Asia’s recent earthquake and tsunami.
   "My discussions with the leaders who are here lead me to believe that we are responding and there is solidarity, and we are going to really make a difference."
   During an aid’s Summit in Indonesia today UN officials say between 3 and 4 billion dollars in aid money has already been pledged and a massive effort is underway to get food, water and medical care to people in remote areas of 11 countries hit by the tsunami.
