With the labels, we can know, if we need to, the amount that we drink. If we have the labels then doctors can know if the amount that we drink is dangerous; with this we can protect our bodies from sugar defects, brain defects, and blood clots. If you disagree, then think about all the people who die because of sugar. I’m not saying that sodas and candies are bad; I am saying that having sodas and candies every day can harm you.

People should know what they are drinking when they are drinking sodas! I do not get it! When you purchase a soda, you should know that there is a lot of sugar in it. In the end, I just do not believe these "warnings" are going to stop any one from drinking their favorite soda anyway. We have all been taught that sugar is bad, so to reiterate that is pointless and it is a waste of money for those soda brands. Even a moderately educated blind person should understand that when they purchase soda. And if you still need to check if there is sugar in Coca Cola, there is something called nutrition facts. Simply turn the can and you will find a white box. Yes, that is it. Congratulations! You did it! Or do we want to put a sugar warning in the front to save people the extra effort to turn a can?

Many people don’t know what they are putting in their body, so with the help of the warning labels there can be less people drinking sugary drinks and less deaths every year. It helps people to be more careful with what they eat and drink because you never know what might happen if people just keep drinking or eating things with sugar or just junk in general. One day we are all going to die if we don’t do something now.

There are already "warnings" which are nutrition facts. Besides those, it needs nothing else to let consumers know what they are drinking. If we put warnings there, you might as well put warnings on everything.

There should be warning labels on sugary drinks, so that people could know what they are drinking. Nutrition facts are different from warning labels because nutrition facts do not warn us. For example, warning labels warn us if we can get cancer while nutrition facts do not.

No one looks at labels on soda. It is a big waste of time and nobody cares about labels and we all drink what we want to drink. People can ask the company themselves if they want to know what they are drinking. So go have fun drinking something that you don’t even know what’s inside. Labels or not, I’m drinking my soda.

答案                 Should There Be Warning Labels on Sugary Drinks?
Warning labels on cigarettes are universally accepted, however, a piece of pioneering legislation on the warning labels on sugary beverages has stirred up the public debate on the justification and validity of the act itself. As a matter of fact, warning labels are rather helpful to the consumers who are vulnerable due to unfavorable asymmetric information in market economy. The labels respect consumers’ right to know, encourage them to consume rationally and enable them to keep a balanced dietary habit.
Some individuals assume that there is a common awareness of the dreadful consequences of taking in too much sugar among moderately educated people and subsequently the warning labels will not warn the consumers. However, others do contend that alerting signs will allow the consumers to raise awareness of the amount of sugar in sugary drinks and the possible consequences, which is definitely different from the educational purpose of nutrition signs.
As is said by Jean Rostand, a French biologist and philosopher, "the obligation to endure gives us the right to know". Although the right to know is considered to be a basic human right, tremendous bottles of sugary beverages have been poured into the mouth of the younger generation, even toddlers, without their knowledge nor permission, which would cause devastating effects on their growth, either in an accelerated or a postponed way. Meanwhile, commercials overwhelmingly misrepresent sugary beverages by employing deceptive devices, like trick photography of pop stars and false testimonials from celebrities, to implant the groundless correlation between sugary beverages and the fashion. Only warning labels can unveil the mask of the false link and cultivate a rational consumption habit. What is more, traditionally, sugar is perceived as the symbol of happiness in the era of scarcity, however, a recent study has shown that over-consumption of sugary foods will endanger the victims’ health, resulting in tooth decay, obesity and cardiovascular disease. Therefore, warning labels on sugary drinks help people to raise awareness of sugar intake, which eventually help people to have a balanced diet.
Undeniably, sugar can be as soothing as smoking to pressure and tense. Likewise, the fearful consequence of a high intake of sugar shall be paid as much attention as to nicotine. Hence, warning labels should be posted on sugary beverages.
