There is always the heated discussion about which is better, to be man or to be

问题  There is always the heated discussion about which is better, to be man or to be a women. What’s your opinion.
   Write a composition of about 200 words on the following topic:
   TO BE A MAN OR A WOMAN
   You are to write in three parts.
   In the first part, state your opinion.
   In the second part, give specific reasons for your opinion.
   In the last paragraph, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion with a summary.
   Marks will be awarded for content, organization, grammar and appropriateness. Failure to follow the instructions may result in a loss of marks.

答案                                           To be a man or a woman
     Of course it is difficult to say whether I’d prefer to be a man or a woman if I had a second life because, as a woman, I cannot say that I know exactly what it’s like to be a man. However, my experience of life— including 20 years of marriage and the bringing up of two sons—would lead me to choose to be a man in a second life for two main reasons.
     First of all, across the world, women suffer from repression by men. Throughout history men have made women feel that they are inferior. This means that women don’t have same confidence as men and this leads them to let decide important things at the family level and also in terms of how of society is organized. This is clear from the fact that at a national level nearly all top politicians are men. How many Russian and American presidents have been women? Secondly, women do not enjoy the same opportunities as men in the world of work as it is extremely difficult for them to escape from the prison of housework and child care. One could argue that this is another example of men repressing women but I am dealing with work separately as it is so important to me personally. When I got married I had a more interesting and better paid job than my husband. However, because of pressure from him and my parents I gave up work and since then have had to concentrate on bringing up our children and doing necessary but incredibly boring housework. Personally, I have found this work very frustrating; I feel that I would have developed more as a human being and contributed more to our marriage if I had been able to continue with my career.
     To sum up, I feel sure that I would lead a more complete life if I could take advantage of the greater opportunities that men have. Being a man in a second life would also allow me to persuade men that women should have greater control over their own lives and over society itself!
