The findings are from a study that【C5】______nearly 5,000 British adults for 20 years, and they【C6】______yet another reason to【C7】______a healthier lifestyle.
Overall, 314 people studied had all four unhealthy behaviors. Among them, 91 died during the study,【C8】______29 percent. Among the 387【C9】______people with none of the four habits, only 32 died, or about 8 percent.
The risky behaviors were:【C10】______; downing【C11】______three alcoholic drinks per day for men and more than two【C12】______for women; getting less than two hours of【C13】______activity per week; and eating fruits and vegetables fewer than three times daily.
These habits combined【C14】______increased the【C15】______of death and made people who【C16】______in them seem 12 years older than people in the healthiest group, said lead researcher Elisabeth Kvaavik of the University of Oslo. The study【C17】______in Monday’s Archives of Internal Medicine.
"You don’t need to be【C18】______to be in the healthy【C19】______", Kvaavik said. "These behaviors【C20】______, so together it’s quite good. It should be possible for most people to manage to do it."
