Tank and rocket fire thundered through Kabul yesterday as rival Muslim militias battled for control. It is reported that Kabul’s two main hospitals reported [21D] three dead and 94 injured. The war escalaled on Tuesday as factions exchanged rocket fire with rivals controlling the southern suburbs. Plumes of dust and smoke rose from strategic mountain tops amid an incessant roar of tank and rocket fire. Most people stayed off the streets.
