When people form opinions about someone or something, what affects them most

问题    When people form opinions about someone or something, what affects them most is not substance but style. Is style more important than substance? Write a composition on this issue.
    Write on ANSWER SHEET TWO a composition of about 200 words:
   You are to write in three parts.

   In the second part, provide one or two reasons to support your opinion.
   In the last part, bring what you have written to a natural conclusion or make a summary.

答案                                          Style More Important Than Substance?
     Style, of course, is less important than substance. If a rotten apple is placed in a crystal bowl, will you happily eat it?
     Take my big brother’s ex-girlfriend Tracy for example. Tracy used to spend two hours every day getting ready. She is beautiful on the outside but not so kind inside, who would laugh at injured dogs and even take pictures of them just for the fun of it. She shouted at beggars without offering them any help as if their poverty would spread. No one could stand her ego center, net even my brother and they broke up at last. Although she was charming in "style", her inner substance" made her awful and unpopular.
     Have you heard of a story named "Beauty and the Beast"? The beast seems unacceptable in appearance, right? But finally he wins the heart of the princess for his bravery to show love. His qualities, not his style, lead to his success.
     The TEM-4 writing section also is an example to support my stance, ff I only focus on the delicate usage of words or a magical style of my essay, leaving the content dull and unsatisfying, the judges will certainly not give me a high score. Content is the soul of the essay to grab the reader’s attention even if the words are simple. To compare style and substance--substance is the key player while style has only a bit part.
