Environmental ministers from countries responsible for the biggest emissions of carbon dioxide have been gathering in Germany ahead of a meeting to discuss a global response to the problems of climate change. The ministers from the G8 and other rich nations will meet ministers from developing countries in the city of Potsdam, to try to find common ground on an agreement to replace the Kyoto Protocol, which runs out in 2012.
