Will Credit Cards Bring Harm to Students?
Stimulated by improving living standards and consuming capacity, an increasing number of people, especially students, are tending to use credit cards more and more frequently. Many people hold the opinion that credit cards will greatly benefit students from all aspects and play an indispensable role in their lives. However, from my perspective, credit cards will give rise to tremendous negative impacts that will do great harm to students.
First and foremost, owing to the availability of credit cards, many students who are lacking in self-control will probably purchase a lot of excessive goods which they don’t need. Therefore, it will directly press down on the students’ financial burden and indirectly cause over-expense to the entire family. What’s more, triggered by credit cards, students may confront a terrible situation that they are forming abusive shopping habits and leading a luxurious lifestyle. For instance, some individuals will possibly use credit cards to buy luxurious goods which are totally beyond their budget, such as LV, CHANEL and DIOR. Admittedly, credit cards can do a great favor to citizens on certain occasions, like shopping. Credit cards will definitely provide convenience; nonetheless, credit cards are too much for students, since they are still too young to shoulder the double-edged responsibilities that credit cards bring about.
From the above analysis concerning using credit cards, I firmly believe that students will be influenced and victimized by it through various aspects. In the meantime, it is advisable that students should not be allowed to use credit cards until they have the financial capability to. pay them off.
