The High Court in London has refused to prevent the husband of a terminally ill woman from taking her abroad to commit suicide. Aiding suicide in Britain is illegal and can carry a long jail sentence. The judge said there was clear evidence that the woman who suffers a degenerative disease had freely made the de cision to go to a clinic in Switzerland where euthanasia is allowed.
