    When it comes to whether parents should control the behavior of their children, different people hold different views. Some people believe that parents should control the behavior of their children from a very young age. However, others hold that they should give them more freedom. As far as I’m concerned, I agree with the latter.
    To start with, children have an eager curiosity about the world and a strong thirst for knowledge, both of which are discouraged if their actions are always under the control of their parents. For example, many parents limit online activities of their children, say, prohibit online chat, and children gradually lose their interest in the network and even don’t bother to turn on the computer. In addition, children may become timid when they grow up if their parents have godlike powers over their behavior. After all, childhood experience plays a big part in shaping one’s character. Finally, children may go to the other extreme if they don’t become coward, that is, to be rebellious against life and authority. And it is their usual practice to say no to the things they are asked to do when they grow to manhood.
    To sum up, parents shouldn’t govern the activities of their children too much. However, it is advisable to give them some suggestions in due time.
