United Nations troops in Haiti are on the alert after gunfire broke out near the Presidential Palace in the capital Port-au-Prince as the American Secretary of State Collin Power met leaders of the interim government. It’s thought gunmen fired shots from a car as it passed through a neighboring stronghold of supporters of the ousted President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
