However, now, more and more people, especially the children, crowd into the western fast food restaurant such as KFC and McDonalds where hamburger and French fries are served. For lack of vegetables and other nutritious dishes, the western fast food is just a kind of junk food which might lead to chronic food security problems.

    As a coin has two sides, western fast food has both benefit and harm. Just as Chinese fast food also has some fried cuisine, western fast food does have some low-calorie and nutritious dishes. So western fast food should not be deemed as a kind of junk food.

Some people believe that western fast food is a kind of junk food for lack of vegetables and other nutritious dishes, so we should resist western fast food. However, opponents argue that western food also has some low-calorie and nutritious dishes. I believe it is not a good idea to reject fast food.
    Firstly, when you order in fast food restaurants, chances are that you can get easy access to salad, vegetable soup and other low-calorie food. So, eating western fast food does not necessarily lead to obesity and other chronic health problems. Instead of imposing a ban, the key lies in finding a way to strike a balance in one’s diet and avoid over-consumption of any food. After all, it depends on you to decide whether to take those high-calorie food or to choose low-calorie healthy food on the menu. Secondly, people are willing to take fast food because of the general concern of food safety. There are countless Chinese food restaurants standing on the side of the road without government control over safety standards. The western food restaurants, such as KFC and McDonalds, however, have strict quality control, which guarantees safe and healthy food for the customers.
    In conclusion, western fast food is not as evil as we think. In fact, what underlines a healthy body is your awareness of balanced diet and appropriate exercises, rather than resisting fast food.
