The conventional golden life track of entering a well-known university and finding a good job is refused by the young generation. Instead, they prefer to be their own bosses for they believe that becoming entrepreneurs can not only release employment pressure but also improve their comprehensive capabilities. In contrast, others believe that college study is indispensable for students’ growth and it is risky for students to quit school to start a business.
    From my point of view, I am inclined that college students should be allowed to think independently and make their life plans by themselves. For one thing, four years in college could help students accumulate knowledge and skills so that they could enter the society smoothly. For another, if they choose to set up a business before graduation, they should evaluate their capabilities objectively and make sure that they could afford potential risks. After all, starting a business on one’s own requires not only vigor and enthusiasm, but also reliable contacts and funds. In addition, students should be aware that reality cannot be as smooth as imagination. Everything seems extremely easy when we read the story of Bill Gates, but people seldom know the hardship behind his glory. Students should be fully prepared for the future ups and downs.
