    Human beings are social animals: we live in groups; we work in groups. As John Donne said, "No one is an island". Because of this, the importance of having a sense of social responsibility is fairly prominent.
    First of all, the sense of social responsibility is beneficial to our social cohesion. Some of us complain that our society is rather fragmented, and not as cohesive as it used to be. One major cause of this fragmentation is that we only mind our own business, without the sense to serve others and the society.
