    I saw your advertisement for people to judge the most Interesting Hobby competition. I am a 20-year old Chinese boy and I have been collecting stamps for the past ten years. I know it may seem like a boring hobby to some people, but I really enjoy it. I have eight stamp albums to keep my collection in and collecting stamps help me to find out more about the world. I also practice my English as I have pen friends all over the world and we write to each other in English.
    I think I can be a good judge of other people’s hobbies because I’m so enthusiastic about my own. I will try to be tactful and fair, because it is so easy to hurt someone’s feelings if you criticize something as personal as a person’s hobby.
    I was asked to be a judge when I was at school. We held an art competition and four of us students had to judge the best picture. We had to spend a long time discussing who to pick and it was very difficult to choose between the best ones!
    I do hope you consider my application and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
