   According to psychologist Martin Seligman, when pessimists have to deal with a difficult situation, they tend to think that it can’ t be changed and that it is their own fault. An optimist, on the other hand, believes that problems are only temporary and an 【C8】 ______(except)to normal life—they happen by accident or because of something unusual.
