How many pieces of news are reported in the news programme? [br]
This is AP News Minute. Warm weather in the East and frigid air in the Midwest could spell trouble for travelers this weekend. Forecasters say a storm could produce nasty conditions from Texas to northern New England. Victims of Pan Am Flight 103 were remembered Saturday on the 25th anniversary of the terrorist bombing. Wreaths were laid in Lockerbie, Scotland, while Attorney General Erie Holder and former FBI Director Robert Mueller made remarks at Arlington National Cemetery. Authorities say four men have been charged with murder in last weekend’ s deadly carjacking outside a mall in northern New Jersey...
Delegates from nearly 200 countries have spent the past two weeks in Warsaw, Poland. More than 9,000 representatives gathered for a United Nations conference on climate change. Organizers called the meeting to work toward a treaty to fight rising temperatures on our planet. The treaty would be signed in 2015 and take effect after 2020. Several environmental groups walked out of the climate talks earlier this week. They were protesting what they considered a lack of progress towards a deal to limit carbon dioxide and other global warming emissions.
选项
A、They were not allowed to voice their opinions.
B、They claimed it had done little to limit global warming emissions.
C、They didn’t agree with the treaty to be signed
D、They thought the participants were too divided in opinions.
答案
B
解析
新闻最后提到几个环保组织在本周早些时候离开了该有关气候变化的联合国会议,由“They were protesting what they considered a lack of progress towards a deal to limit car—bon dioxide and other global warming emissions”,可知原因是他们认为会议在限制二氧化碳和其他温室气体排放方面没有进展。故B项正确。
